Tips:

  • Choose firm, flaky fish. This will help the fish stay intact during cooking and prevent it from becoming mushy. Good options include cod, halibut, salmon, and tilapia.
  • Don't overcook the fish. Overcooked fish is tough and dry. Cook the fish just until it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Use a variety of vegetables. This will add flavor and texture to the casserole. Good options include broccoli, carrots, celery, onions, and peppers.
  • Use a creamy sauce. This will help to bind the ingredients together and make the casserole more flavorful. Good options include a white sauce, a cheese sauce, or a tomato sauce.
  • Top the casserole with a crispy topping. This will add texture and flavor to the casserole. Good options include bread crumbs, crushed crackers, or grated cheese.
  • Bake the casserole until it is bubbly and hot. This will ensure that the casserole is cooked through.
