NICOISE SALAD WITH GRILLED TUNA
This is our family's favorite Nicoise salad. You can substitute canned tuna or grilled chicken for the grilled tuna. Change out the vegetables to suit your taste. The dressing is the best part - flavorful enough to stand up to the potatoes and tuna, without overwhelming the greens. I like to use a mix of lettuces in this salad - for flavor and appearance. Serving size is a generous plateful.

Toss well and season to taste with more salt and pepper. Using a sharp knife, slice the tuna on the bias into thin slices. Lay the slices carefully over the vegetables and serve.

Tips:
- Choose fresh, high-quality tuna. Fresh tuna should be firm to the touch and have a bright red or pink color. Avoid tuna that is brownish or has a slimy texture.
- Marinate the tuna before grilling. Marinating the tuna in a flavorful mixture of olive oil, herbs, and spices will help to keep it moist and flavorful during grilling.
- Grill the tuna over medium-high heat. This will help to sear the outside of the tuna and cook it evenly throughout.
- Do not overcook the tuna. Tuna is a delicate fish and can easily become dry and overcooked. Cook the tuna for just a few minutes per side, or until it is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Let the tuna rest before serving. This will help to redistribute the juices throughout the fish and prevent it from drying out.
- Serve the tuna salad with your favorite sides. Grilled tuna salad is a versatile dish that can be served with a variety of sides, such as rice, pasta, or salad.
Conclusion:
Grilled tuna salad is a delicious and healthy meal that is perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner. By following these tips, you can make a grilled tuna salad that is sure to please everyone at the table!
