Yield 8 people

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 small boxes cherry jello
2 cups hot water
2 cups applesauce
1/3 cup cinnamon red hots

Steps:

  • Pour hot water over red hots in bowl and stir briefly;strain over jello powder and throw red hots away. Add applesauce, mix well and chill.

Tips:

  • Use ripe, flavorful apples: The better the apples, the better the applesauce. Look for apples that are heavy for their size, with smooth, unblemished skin.
  • Peel and core the apples before cooking: This will help the applesauce have a smooth texture.
  • Use a variety of apples: This will give the applesauce a more complex flavor. Some good combinations include Granny Smith and Honeycrisp, or Braeburn and Pink Lady.
  • Add spices to taste: Cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves are all classic spices that pair well with apples. You can also add a bit of ginger or cardamom for a more unique flavor.
  • Sweeten the applesauce to your liking: You can use sugar, honey, or maple syrup. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Let the applesauce cool before serving: This will help it thicken up and develop its full flavor.

Conclusion:

Applesauce cinnamon jello is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover apples, and it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a few simple tips, you can make the perfect applesauce cinnamon jello every time.
