Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 mint leaves, finely sliced
1/2 teaspoon harissa (optional)
1 bell pepper, seeded and diced
1/2 small fennel bulb, finely diced (or 1/2 cucumber)
1/2 red onion, peeled and diced
3 tomatoes, diced
salt and pepper
1 (6 ounce) can tuna in vegetable oil
2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon capers
black olives (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Combine vinegar, olive oil, mint and harissa in a large bowl.
  • Add pepper, fennel, onion and tomato with dressing and toss to combine.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon salad onto plates or a serving dish.
  • Top with tuna, egg, capers and olives.

Tips:

  • Use the freshest ingredients possible. Fresh tuna, hard-boiled eggs, and vegetables will give your salad the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the tuna. Tuna is a delicate fish and it can easily become dry and tough if it's overcooked. Cook the tuna for just a few minutes per side, or until it's cooked through but still slightly pink in the center.
  • Make sure the eggs are hard-boiled. Hard-boiled eggs are easier to peel and they'll hold their shape better in the salad.
  • Use a variety of vegetables. This will add color, flavor, and texture to your salad. Some good options include tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, celery, and bell peppers.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. There are many different ways to make tuna and egg salad. Feel free to add your own favorite ingredients or experiment with different flavors.

Conclusion:

Tuna and egg salad is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, or as a snack. It's also a great way to use up leftover tuna and hard-boiled eggs. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a delicious and satisfying tuna and egg salad that the whole family will enjoy.
