Tips:

  • Use softened butter for easier creaming.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling and baking. This will help prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Roll the dough out to a thickness of 1/8 inch. If the dough is too thick, the cups will be too thick and the filling will not be as visible.
  • Use a cookie cutter with a scalloped edge to create the cups. This will give them a more decorative look.
  • Bake the cups for 10-12 minutes, or until they are just beginning to brown around the edges. If the cups are overbaked, they will be dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cups cool completely before filling them. If the cups are still warm, the filling will melt and become runny.
  • Use a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off to fill the cups. This will help you to create a neat and even filling.
  • Refrigerate the cups for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help the filling to set and the cups to firm up.

These sugar cookie cups with cream cheese filling are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With their buttery sugar cookie crust and creamy, tangy filling, these cups are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
