Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 qt. boiling water
5 regular sized black tea bags
1/2 c sugar or splenda or truvia
12 oz. can frozen lemonade, thawed
1 qt. cold water
1 lg. bottle diet ginger ale (use 1/2 of the bottle)

Steps:

  • 1. Pour the boiling water over the tea bags in a Pyrex type container and steep for 15 minutes. Remove them squeezing gently.
  • 2. Stir in lemonade, sugar and water. Refrigerate. When serving add the ginger ale (1/2 of large bottle) and serve over ice.

Tips:

  • Choose the right tea: Use a light and refreshing tea, such as green tea, white tea, or herbal tea. Avoid using black tea, as it can be too strong and bitter for iced tea.
  • Brew the tea properly: Follow the instructions on the tea package for brewing the tea. Be sure to use the correct amount of tea leaves and water, and steep the tea for the correct amount of time.
  • Sweeten the tea to taste: If you like your iced tea sweet, add sugar, honey, or another sweetener to taste. You can also add fruit juice or flavored syrups to create a variety of different flavors.
  • Chill the tea thoroughly: Before serving, chill the iced tea in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight. You can also add ice cubes to the tea to chill it quickly.
  • Garnish the tea with fresh herbs or fruit: When serving, garnish the iced tea with fresh herbs, such as mint or basil, or fresh fruit, such as slices of lemon or orange.

Conclusion:

Sparkling summer tea is a refreshing and delicious way to enjoy tea on a hot day. By following these tips, you can make the perfect sparkling summer tea at home. Experiment with different teas, sweeteners, and garnishes to create your own unique signature drink.
