Zesty Pork Chops image

I got this strickley from the Campbell's Kitchen website. This is a simple and very tasty recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 bone in pork chops {1/2-1" thick}
all purpose flour enough to lightly coat chops
1 c picante sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar, firmly packed
1 medium apple, peeled and cut in 1/4" thick slices
2 Tbsp olive oil, extra virgin

Steps:

  • 1. Coat the pork with the flour. Stir the picante sauce, brown sugar and apple in a medium bowl.
  • 2. Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides. Pour off any fat.
  • 3. Pour the picante sauce mixture over the pork. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the pork is cooked through.
