I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG I'VE HAD THIS RECIPE, SEEMS LIKE FOREVER...I GOT IT AT A LOCAL GROCERY STORE, YEARS AGO... I DON'T PARTICULARILY CARE FOR SAUERKRAUT, BUT THIS RECIPE IS VERY GOOD...

1 lb german brand weiners, cut into fourths
1 lb can or jar of sauerkraut, drained
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
1 small onion, chopped
3 oz white wine
2 Tbsp ,brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp butter
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. MELT BUTTER IN A LARGE, DEEP FRY PAN...ADD ONION AND SAUTE OVER LOW HEAT TILL TRANSLUCENT...STIR IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS, COVER AND COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT FOR 10 - 20 MINUTES...STIR OCCASIONALLY. THIS MAKES 6 SERVINGS...
