Shaker Sugar Cream Pie image

This pie is served at Shaker Village here in Kentucky as part of the dinner fare at the Trustee House. It is rich and creamy and delicious and if a whole pie is in the house with me around, it is in serious danger of turning up "missing".

I'm not a fan of sugar cream pie, but I thought this recipe was pretty good. The crust was really flaky and the filling was smooth and creamy.

This pie was a disappointment. The filling was too runny and the crust was too tough.
