INGREDIENTS AT ROOM TEMP
1 1/4 # butter
3/4 c sugar
3 extra large eggs
3/4 t vanilla
4 1/2 c flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 # butter, melted
3 cups brown sugar
1 c honey
1 t zest from orange and lemon
1/2 cup cream
2# pecans
1/2 c choco chips
1/2 c cream
1t coffee granules

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Slowly add dry ingredients. Pat out in sheet pan. bAKE 350 DEGREES 15 MINUTES (set but not brown) stir butter, brown sugar, honey together and boil ~3 min add 1 t orange and lemon zest. Boil 3 minutes. Add 1/2 c cream and 2 pounds chopped pecans Pour filling over crust. Bake 350 for 20-30 minutes until set. Cool. Melt choco chips, cream and coffee granules. Dip in chocolate NOTE: May flow over in oven so put something under pan to catch the drip

I followed the recipe exactly and the bars turned out great! The only thing I would change is to use a darker chocolate for the ganache. I used semisweet chocolate and it was a little too sweet for my taste.
