Steps:
- Cut the onion long ways into rings and chop the jalapeno peppers. In a medium saute pan, heat 2 tbsp. of the butter. Once melted add the onions and jalapeno peppers and allow to saute until translucent. When cooked, set aside. In a large bowl, add the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and taco seasoning. Using your hands, combine all the ingredients and form into 2 1/2 pound hamburgers (I made three). Take your second saute pan (preferably grill pan) and cook the hamburgers for 7 minutes on each side on medium high heat or until cooked according to preference. Place a piece on top of the hamburger and place the saute pan that you haven't used yet on top of the pan that is cooking your hamburger so the cheese can melt.Once the cheese has melted, place some of the sautéed onions and jalapeno on top of the burger for an extra 2 minutes and then remove from heat. In the third pan, melt the other 2 tbsp. of butter on low to medium heat and place the buns inside the pan and allow to toast for about 2 minutes and remove from heat. Immediately, while the bread is still warm, place another piece of cheese on the bottom, the burger with the onions, and add some banana peppers and whatever other hamburger toppings you like, such as avocado or pico de gallo.
