Italian Style Green Beans image

This is just a great little recipe, quick and easy, and uses ingredients that I think most people happen to have on hand most of the time. Great for the weight watcher!!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 10 oz. package frozen green beans
1 14 oz. can whole peeled tomatoes, drained and chopped, but don't throw away the juice
1/4 c chopped onion
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dired oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/8 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all the ingredients (plus about 3 tablespoons of reserved juice from tomatoes) in a pan and heat to boiling. Then reduce heat.
  • 2. Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the beans are done to your liking.
