Inside Outside Ravioli image

My aunt brought this recipe home from Vermont one year and everyone had to have it...great for potlucks and cold winter nights.

Number Of Ingredients 16

1/2 c bread crumbs, seasoned
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c cooking oil
10 oz can(s) spinach, reserve liquid
1 lb ground beef
1/2 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp salad oil
1 lb can(s) spaghetti sauce
8 oz can(s) tomato sauce, italian seasoned
6 oz can(s) tomato paste, italian
1/2 tsp salt
dash(es) pepper
reserved spinach liquid
7 oz favorite macaroni/pasta
1 can(s) shredded cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Combine bread crumbs, eggs, and oil. Spread over bottom of pan and cover with drained spinach.
  • 2. Brown ground beef, drain fat, and add onions, garlic, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, spinach juice, and spices. Simmer together for 10 minutes. (Use a very large skillet!)
  • 3. Cook macaroni per box instructions and drain.
  • 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Alternate meat mixture and cooked macaroni over spinach. Cover with cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
