Creamy Sprouts and Noodles image

I found this delicious recipe on the net when looking for ways to use a bumper crop of Brussels sprouts 2 years ago.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 lb fresh brussels sprouts, quartered
1 medium onion,finely chopped
1 Tbsp butter or margerine
4 oz sour cream
4 oz cottage cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp caraway seeds, optional
1 1/2 c noodles, uncooked
1/2 c soft bread crumbs
1 Tbsp melted butter or margerine

Steps:

  • 1. Cook and drain noodles. Cook sprouts until tender
  • 2. Saute onion in butter until golden brown. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, cottage cheese, garlic, paprika, salt and caraway seeds. Add sprouts and noodles.
  • 3. Spoon into sprayed 1 qt. baking dish. Toss bread crumbs and melted butter and sprinkle over. Bake, uncovered, at 375 for 20 minutes until golden brown on top.
