Cantaloupe Daiquiris image

Very tasty and pleasant. Perfect during the summer, hanging out with your friends :) (From the recipe of Martha Hall Foose)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cantaloupe (seeded, peeled, & finely diced)
1/2 c sugar
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp chopped mint leaves
1 Tbsp chopped basil leaves
1 c light rum
4 c crushed ice

Steps:

  • 1. In either a Large bowl or freezer bag, combine the Cantaloupe, Sugar, Lemon, Mint & Basil. Let the melon macerate in the fridge until soft and juicy, about 2 hours. Place the glasses in the freezer to chill.
  • 2. When your ready to serve your guests, puree the melon mix in a blender or food processor. Add the Rum and Ice, blend until smooth.
  • 3. Serve & Enjoy Responsibly. :)
