Boozy Fresh Cranberry-Orange Sauce image

Why buy canned cranberry sauce when you can easily make your own from fresh cranberries, sugar, water, and a little bit of fresh orange? Cointreau®, or another orange-flavored liqueur, gives this sauce an extra flavor boost. It's perfect with ham, chicken, or turkey, whether it's a holiday or not.

This sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I think that's because I used too much sugar. I'll try using less sugar next time.

I'm not a big fan of cranberry sauce, but this recipe changed my mind! The orange and cinnamon flavors really balance out the tartness of the cranberries.

This sauce was a bit too tart for my taste, but I think that's because I used fresh cranberries. I might try using frozen cranberries next time.
