Alabama Caviar image

This is an Alabama spin on Texas Caviar. It taste just as good and takes less time to prepare. You can make it as mild or as spicy as you like.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can(s) black-eyed peas
1 can(s) rotel (mild or hot)
1 can(s) white shoepeg corn
1 bottle italian salad dressing
1 c chopped onions
optional chopped jalopeno's to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients together in bowl and place in frig over night.
  • 2. Serve with tortilla chips or, as we do in our house, Frito Scoops.

This is a delicious recipe, but I found it to be a little too salty for my taste. I would recommend using less salt than the recipe calls for.
