1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup finely chopped pecans, toasted
GLAZED PECANS:
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/3 cup pecan halves
FROSTING:
1 package cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon maple syrup
1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking soda and salt. Combine the buttermilk, butter, syrup and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Fold in chopped pecans. , Pour into two 6-in. round baking pans coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely. , In a small saucepan, bring corn syrup to a boil. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in pecan halves until coated. Place in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. 1 egg
1/2 cup chopped pecans, if desired
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 teaspoons half-and-half or milk
1 teaspoon maple flavor
2 tablespoons chopped pecans, if desired

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 8- or 9-inch loaf pan.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light-brown sugar
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
5 large eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1 cup pecans, lightly toasted and roughly chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter and flour a 4 1/2-by-8 1/2-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and both sugars on medium-high until very light and fluffy, 7 minutes. Scrape down bowl and beat 1 minute more. Add maple syrup, then gradually add eggs, beating well and scraping down bowl as needed. With mixer on low, add salt, then gradually add flour, beating well to combine and scraping down bowl as needed. Fold pecans into batter.

1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven, grease& line the base of a 9x5 loaf pan with baking/parchment paper.
  • Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl.
  • Cut butter into the flour and mix until the mixture looks like fine breadcrumbs.
  • Add in the sugar and pecans.
  • Beat eggs together with milk and lemon zest in a seperate bowl.
  • Stir in maple syrup.
  • Add this to the flour mixture and gently mix together.
