Yield Makes 18 (1/2-inch) balls

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 cups rolled oats
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir until well mixed.
  • Roll into 18 bite-size balls with wet hands to keep the mixture from sticking to you (or use a melon scooper to help). Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Tips:

  • Use old-fashioned oats: These will give your cookies a chewier texture than quick-cooking oats.
  • Chill the dough before baking: This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set: Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them: This will help them keep their shape and prevent them from sticking together.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature: They will keep for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

These oaty energy cookies are a delicious and healthy snack that are perfect for on-the-go. They are packed with oats, nuts, and seeds, which provide a good source of fiber, protein, and healthy fats. They are also naturally sweetened with honey and maple syrup, so they are a healthier alternative to traditional cookies. Whether you are looking for a quick breakfast, a post-workout snack, or a healthy dessert, these oaty energy cookies are sure to hit the spot.
