Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will directly impact the flavor of your dish. Choose fresh, flavorful chicken, and use a good quality molasses and mustard.
- Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes: This will help the flavors to penetrate the chicken and make it more tender. If you don't have time to marinate the chicken for 30 minutes, you can still make this recipe, but the flavor will be less pronounced.
- Cook the chicken over indirect heat: This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out. If you are using a charcoal grill, place the chicken on the side of the grill that is not directly over the coals. If you are using a gas grill, turn one burner off and place the chicken on the side of the grill that is not directly over the burner.
- Baste the chicken with the barbecue sauce regularly: This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful. Baste the chicken every 10-15 minutes.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is cooked through: The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Conclusion:
This molasses mustard barbecued chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish. It is perfect for a summer cookout or gathering with friends and family. The chicken is tender and flavorful, and the barbecue sauce is tangy and sweet. Serve this chicken with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or baked beans.
