FALOODA (PAKISTANI ICE CREAM SUNDAE FLOAT)

Falooda (Pakistani Ice Cream Sundae Float) image

This is a very delicious ice cream float. It is like an ice cream sundae from Pakistan. The basil seeds make it very uncommon. My kids call them fish eyeballs. Use recipe 177928 for kulfi.

Tips

  • Choose the right soda: Not all sodas are created equal when it comes to making floats. Some sodas, like root beer and cream soda, have a stronger flavor that can stand up to the ice cream. Others, like cola and ginger ale, have a more subtle flavor that can be overwhelmed by the ice cream.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ice cream: The quality of the ice cream you use will make a big difference in the taste of your float. Look for ice cream that is made with fresh, natural ingredients and has a smooth, creamy texture.
  • Don't overcrowd the glass: When assembling your float, don't fill the glass all the way to the top with soda. Leave some room for the ice cream to expand as it melts.
  • Serve immediately: Floats are best enjoyed immediately after they are made. The ice cream will start to melt and the soda will start to lose its fizz the longer you wait.

Conclusion

Ice cream floats are a classic summer treat that are easy to make and loved by people of all ages. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of creativity, you can create a delicious and refreshing float that is perfect for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a sweet and satisfying treat, give ice cream floats a try!
