Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you save time and avoid scrambling.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your salad will taste. Look for ripe vegetables, fresh herbs, and good-quality pasta.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Pasta should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant.
  • Let the pasta cool before adding the dressing: This will help prevent the dressing from diluting.
  • Use a light hand with the dressing: You can always add more dressing, but it's difficult to take it away. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Serve the salad immediately: Pasta salad is best enjoyed fresh. If you need to make it ahead of time, store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
