HEAVENLY ANGEL HAIR PASTA SALAD

This recipe makes a large amount, sufficient to serve 12-15. It is always well-received when I take it to covered dish meals at church. While it is not for those on low-carb diets, it is acceptable for low fat diets.

3 tablespoons steak seasoning (Lawry's Season Salt will work)
4 spring onions, chopped fine with some of green part

1/4 cup water
salt, to taste

Tips:

  • Use a large pot: Angel hair pasta can easily stick together, so it's important to use a large pot to give it plenty of room to cook.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: Add the pasta to the boiling water gradually, and stir it gently to prevent it from sticking together.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: Angel hair pasta cooks very quickly, so it's important to cook it al dente, or slightly firm to the bite.
  • Rinse the pasta with cold water: After draining the pasta, rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process and prevent it from sticking together.
  • Use a light sauce: Angel hair pasta is a delicate pasta, so it's best to use a light sauce, such as a simple tomato sauce or a pesto sauce.
  • Add vegetables or protein: To make your angel hair pasta dish more substantial, add some vegetables or protein, such as shrimp, chicken, or broccoli.

Conclusion:

Angel hair pasta is a versatile and delicious pasta that can be used in a variety of dishes. With its light and delicate texture, it's the perfect pasta for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
