1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 package of hash browns (20oz)
salt & pepper to taste

4 cups frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 cup water
1 package (10 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 can (2.8 ounces) french-fried onions, divided

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine hash browns, oil and pepper. Press onto the bottom and 1 in up the sides of an ungreased 9-in. square baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in gravy mix and water. Add vegetables and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. 2 teaspoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 lb lean ground beef
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons ketchup or 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
1 cup beef broth or 1 cup vegetable broth
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a frying pan, cook onion in olive oil over medium high heat until translucent. Add in ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat from ground beef. Return the mixture to medium heat.
  • Sprinkle flour over the ground beef and mix inches Cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Add in ketchup, broth, Worcestershire, salt and pepper and veggies. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
