I haven't cooked this recipe myself, but my kids and DH want me to. The Apple Cider Syrup recipe is being posted and I will post it's recipe #. This tastes like it should be served with Cool Whip.

Steps:
- Cut French bread into cubes. Grease a 13x9x2 baking dish. Place 1/2 C of bread in baking dish. Tope with cream cheese. Then remaining bread cubes. Mix eggs, milk, melted butter, maple syrup until combined. Pour egg mixture evenly over bread and cheese cubes. Press slightly with spatula to moisten. Cover, refridgerate for 2-24 hours. Bake 35-40 minutes at 325.
Tips:
- Use stale bread for a better texture. Stale bread will absorb the custard better and result in a more firm and flavorful strata.
- Choose a bread that is sturdy enough to hold up to the custard, such as a French baguette or challah.
- If you don't have time to let the strata sit overnight, you can bake it immediately after assembling. However, the strata will be more flavorful if you let it sit for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- Serve the strata immediately with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, butter, or fruit.
Conclusion:
French toast strata is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish that is perfect for a crowd. It is made with layers of bread, custard, and fruit, and can be customized to your liking. Whether you like it simple or loaded with toppings, French toast strata is sure to please everyone at your table.
