1 lb. 85% lean ground beef
1 medium onion (chopped (6 oz))
2 teaspoons Diamond Crystal kosher salt ((or 1 teaspoon fine salt))
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
28 oz diced tomatoes (well drained)
1 medium green cabbage (roughly chopped (1 lb.))
1.5 cup cheddar (shredded, divided (6 oz total))

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 2-quart (7 X 11-inch) baking dish.
  • In a large, deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, onion, salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5 minutes, stirring and breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon.
  • Add the garlic, paprika, thyme, and cayenne and cook for 30 seconds, stirring.

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 ½ cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

1 large head cabbage, shredded (about 12 cups)
1 onion, chopped
6 tablespoons butter, divided
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
8 ounces Velveeta, cubed
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Cook cabbage in boiling water until tender; drain thoroughly. In a large skillet, saute onion in 5 tablespoons butter until tender. Stir in soup. Add cheese; stir until melted. 1 medium cabbage
1 medium sweet onion
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 c mayonaise
1/2 stick butter (melted)
TOPPING
1 stick butter (melted)
1 pkg buttery flavored crackers crushed (1 sleeve)
1 c grated cheese (optional)
*****PREHEAT OVEN 350 DEGREES****
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Take a 9 x 13 casserole dish and spray it with vegetable spray. Next Rough cut the cabbage and place in the casserole dish.
  • 2. Now chop the onion and evenly disperse it on top of cabbage. Salt and Pepper to taste.
  • 3. In a medium bowl, combine the melted 1/2 stick of butter, soup and mayonnaise. Spread this mixture evenly over the cabbage and onions.
  • 4. In a small bowl, add the stick of melted butter and crackers (that have been crushed) and mix well. Add the cheese at this point if you want to try it with cheese. (it is great both ways).
