Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Flat iron steak is a flavorful and affordable cut that is perfect for pan-frying. It is also a lean cut, so it is important to cook it quickly over high heat to prevent it from becoming tough.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a mixture of olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and herbs will help to tenderize it and add flavor.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: Once the steak is marinated, cook it over high heat in a heavy skillet or griddle. This will help to create a nice sear on the outside of the steak while keeping the inside tender and juicy.
  • Let the steak rest before serving: After cooking, let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, making it more tender and flavorful.
