Tips:

  • For the Best Flavor: Use fresh cilantro, not dried. Fresh cilantro has a more vibrant flavor that will really shine through in these burgers.
  • Don't Overcook the Beans: The beans should be cooked until they are tender, but not mushy. Overcooked beans will make the burgers dry and crumbly.

  • Use a Food Processor: A food processor will make quick work of chopping the cilantro, onion, and garlic. You can also use a knife to chop these ingredients, but it will take a little longer.

  • Don't Overmix the Burger Mixture: Overmixing the burger mixture will make the burgers tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.

  • Cook the Burgers Over Medium Heat: Cooking the burgers over medium heat will help to prevent them from burning. If you cook the burgers over high heat, they are more likely to burn on the outside before they are cooked through on the inside.

  • Use a Burger Press: A burger press will help to shape the burgers evenly and consistently. If you don't have a burger press, you can use your hands to shape the burgers.

  • Cook the Burgers Until They Are Cooked Through: The burgers should be cooked until they are no longer pink in the center. You can check the burgers by inserting a meat thermometer into the center of the burger. The burger is cooked through when the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Serve the Burgers Immediately: The burgers are best served immediately after they are cooked. You can top the burgers with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese.

Conclusion:

These cilantro bean burgers are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional beef burgers. They are packed with flavor and nutrients, and they are easy to make. Whether you are a vegetarian or meat-eater, you are sure to enjoy these burgers. They are perfect for a summer cookout or a casual weeknight meal.
