Tips:

  • Select the right wonton wrappers: Use square wonton wrappers for easier folding and to hold ample filling. Ensure they're fresh or store-bought and kept properly to prevent drying out.
  • Prepare a flavorful filling: Use a combination of ground beef, pork, or chicken, along with seasonings like salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Add grated cheese, cooked and crumbled bacon, and finely chopped vegetables for extra flavor and texture.
  • Fold the wontons properly: Place a spoonful of filling in the center of the wonton wrapper. Bring two opposite corners together and press to seal. Fold the remaining two corners towards the center and press to form a wonton. Ensure the filling is adequately sealed inside.
  • Use cooking methods that preserve crispiness: Pan-frying is a great way to achieve crispy wontons. Heat a non-stick skillet with a thin layer of oil and carefully place the wontons. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Alternatively, bake the wontons in a preheated oven for a healthier option.
  • Make a delicious dipping sauce: Serve the cheeseburger wontons with a flavorful dipping sauce. A classic sweet and sour sauce made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and pineapple chunks is a popular choice. Alternatively, try a tangy ranch dressing or a spicy Sriracha-based sauce.
