CHAMPAGNE PEACH PUNCH

Champagne Peach Punch image

I first made this punch for a wedding 25 years ago. I found a recipe for a peach punch but didn't care for it. This is my adaptation that actually tastes good. This is nice with a ring of ice with fruit or edible flowers frozen into it. Garnish with fruit or mint leaves.

CHAMPAGNE PEACH PUNCH

Champagne Peach Punch image

Serve this peachy smooth punch instead of Mimosas for brunch, with appetizers for a summery touch or in bigger batches for weddings, bridal or baby showers. You can make a non-alcoholic version by substituting pineapple juice and the base can be made the day before. Picture this with an ice ring made with edible flowers such as violas, pansies, dianthus, marigolds or calendula! Just found this on my MSN home page.

Time 10m

Yield 60 oz, 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (16 ounce) package frozen sliced peaches
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice or 2 tablespoons lime juice
1 (750 ml) bottle champagne or 1 (750 ml) bottle sparkling wine (or 4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice)

Steps:

  • Thaw peaches at room temperature without draining.
  • Blend or process peaches and juice with sugar until smooth.
  • Add to a 2 quart pitcher, stir in orange juice and lemon or lime juice (can be made the day before and refrigerated).
  • At serving time, slowly stir in champagne or sparkling wine (or pineapple juice).
  • Serve over ice cubes, crushed ice or double the recipe and use an ice ring.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe peaches: To ensure the best flavor and texture, choose peaches that are ripe and in season. Look for peaches that are fragrant, have a slight give when pressed, and are free of blemishes.
  • Chill the champagne and peach puree before mixing: This will help to keep the punch cold and refreshing.
  • Add the sparkling water or ginger ale just before serving: This will help to keep the punch fizzy and prevent it from going flat.
  • Garnish with fresh mint or lemon slices: This will add a pop of color and flavor to the punch.
  • Serve immediately: Champagne punch is best enjoyed fresh. If you need to make it ahead of time, store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours before serving.

Conclusion:

Champagne peach punch is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. With its combination of sweet peaches, bubbly champagne, and fizzy sparkling water, this punch is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering. So next time you're looking for a special drink to serve, give champagne peach punch a try. You won't be disappointed!
