Add tomato paste, oregano, cinnamon, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper; cook, stirring until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Add pureed tomatoes; bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook, partially covered, until thickened slightly, about 15 minutes.
