A delicious and fresh tasting pasta sauce. The fresh basil added at the end is essential. This sauce can be left chunky (which I prefer) or blended in a food processor to a smooth sauce. Serve spooned over cooked pasta with plenty of parmesan cheese.

Tips:

  • Use fresh basil: Fresh basil leaves have a more intense flavor than dried basil, so they're worth seeking out for this recipe.
  • Don't overcook the garlic: Garlic can burn easily, so be careful not to cook it over medium heat for more than a minute.
  • Use a good quality Parmesan cheese: The Parmesan cheese is a key ingredient in this sauce, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that has a strong flavor.
  • Add the pasta water to the sauce: The pasta water helps to thicken the sauce and make it more flavorful.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When you're cooking the pasta, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the pasta from cooking evenly.
  • Serve the pasta immediately: Pasta is best served immediately after it's cooked, so don't let it sit around for too long before serving.

Conclusion:

This basil parmesan pasta sauce is a quick and easy recipe that's perfect for a weeknight meal. It's flavorful, creamy, and cheesy, and it's sure to be a hit with the whole family. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy pasta dish, give this basil parmesan pasta sauce a try.
