Time 1h10m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup water
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup white sugar
¼ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
3 pounds chicken wings or drumettes

Steps:

  • Whisk together the water, soy sauce, sugar, pineapple juice, vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger in a large glass or ceramic bowl until the sugar has dissolved. Add the chicken wings, coat with the marinade, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking dishes, and set aside.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, and shake off excess and place the chicken wings into the prepared baking dishes. Discard the remaining marinade. Bake the wings in the preheated oven until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is evenly browned, about 1 hour.

Tips:

  • Marinate the wings overnight: This will allow the flavors to penetrate the chicken and make the wings more tender.
  • Use a good quality teriyaki sauce: This is the key ingredient in this recipe, so make sure you use a brand that you like.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Make sure there is enough space between the wings so that they can cook evenly.
  • Bake the wings until they are crispy: The wings should be cooked through and have a crispy skin.
  • Serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce: Some popular choices include ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or honey mustard.

Conclusion:

These baked teriyaki wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or game day gatherings. The wings are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they are coated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
