Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before starting, ensure all ingredients are prepped and measured. This will make the cooking process smoother.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh ingredients like chicken, vegetables, and herbs bring out the best flavor in this dish.
  • Season Generously: Don't be shy with the seasonings. A good balance of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder is key.
  • Cook Chicken Thoroughly: Make sure the chicken is cooked through before adding the sauce. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).
  • Use Quality Pasta: Choose a good quality pasta that will hold its shape well during cooking, such as penne or rotini.
  • Don't Overcook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, but keep it slightly al dente (slightly firm to the bite) for the best texture.
  • Use a Large Skillet: Use a large skillet or Dutch oven to ensure there's enough space for the chicken, pasta, and sauce to come together.
  • Don't Crowd the Pan: When adding the chicken to the skillet, make sure it's in a single layer to ensure even cooking.
  • Simmer the Sauce: Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld and deepen.
  • Garnish Before Serving: For a finishing touch, garnish the dish with fresh herbs like parsley or basil, and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
