Tips:

  • Choose the right zucchini. Look for firm, medium-sized zucchini that are free of blemishes. Avoid zucchini that are too large or have soft spots, as these will produce watery patties.
  • Grate the zucchini correctly. Use the large holes of a box grater to grate the zucchini. Grating the zucchini too finely will make the patties mushy.
  • Squeeze out the excess liquid from the zucchini. Place the grated zucchini in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Let the zucchini sit for 10 minutes, then use your hands to squeeze out as much liquid as possible. This will help prevent the patties from being too watery.
  • Use a combination of flours. All-purpose flour and oat flour work well together to create a crispy exterior and tender interior for the patties.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the patties tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Cook the patties over medium heat. Cooking the patties over medium heat will help them cook evenly and prevent them from burning.
  • Serve the patties immediately. Zucchini patties are best served hot out of the pan. They can be served on their own or with your favorite toppings, such as ketchup, mustard, or barbecue sauce.

Conclusion:

Zucchini patty sandwiches are a delicious and versatile meal that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like them simple or loaded with toppings, zucchini patty sandwiches are sure to be a hit.
