Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg (6 oz) orange jello, regular or sugar free
1 1/2 c boiling water
1/2 c ice cold water
1 c peach schnapps
1 c vodka or everclear
1 tsp grenadine (for color)

Steps:

  • 1. In a 48 oz glass measuring cup bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in a microwave oven, about 5 minutes. Dissolve package of Orange Jello in the boiling water and stir at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of cold water. Let cool completely before adding liquor.
  • 2. Add 1 cup of Peach Schnapps, 1 cup of Vodka and grenadine. Stir until well combined and pour into jello shot cups and securely top with lids. Place shots on baking sheet and put in refrigerator until set.
  • 3. *If using Everclear, use 3/4 cups and increase Ice Water to 3/4 cups. It will still be stronger than regular Vodka but won't taste stronger.
  • 4. For a twist on plain jello shots hollow out orange, lemon and lime halves and fill with jello shot liquid. Refrigerate until set then slice into wedges. Serve cold. (Image from internet)

FUZZY NAVEL SMOOTHIE

We just whipped this up. 1yo & 3yo sons and I LOVED it. The bananas provide the sweetness. Actually we liked it so much, I made another batch the same day but with less-ripe bananas. It was good but not as good as with the bananas whose skins were about half brown.

Tips:

  • Use fresh fruits: Fresh fruits will give your jello shots the best flavor. If you're using frozen fruits, thaw them completely before using.
  • Don't over-blend the fruits: You want the fruits to be slightly chunky, so don't over-blend them. A few small pieces of fruit will add texture and flavor to your jello shots.
  • Use a good quality vodka: The vodka is the main ingredient in jello shots, so it's important to use a good quality vodka. Look for a vodka that is smooth and has a neutral flavor.
  • Let the jello shots chill for at least 4 hours: This will give the jello shots time to set properly. If you don't let them chill for long enough, they will be too soft and won't hold their shape.
  • Serve the jello shots cold: Jello shots are best served cold. You can chill them in the refrigerator or freezer before serving.
