Yield 10-12 people

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 large package of frozen hash brown potatoes
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1, 8 ounce container of sour cream
2 cups of grated Cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper
4-6 chopped green onions
1 cup of crushed corn flakes

Steps:

  • Thaw potatoes in large bowl. Combine soup, sour cream, and 1 1/2 cups grated cheese; mix together, then add to potatoes. Mix well. Pour in buttered oblong dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Then add rest of cheese on top with crushed corn flakes. Return to oven until cheese melts, about 10 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Use small, firm potatoes for best results. Yukon Gold or red potatoes work well.
  • Parboil the potatoes: This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from becoming too crispy.
  • Don't overcrowd the potatoes: When frying the potatoes, make sure to leave enough space between them so that they can cook evenly.
  • Use a high-quality oil: Use a high-quality oil, such as olive oil or avocado oil, for frying the potatoes.
  • Season the potatoes: Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and other spices to taste before frying.
  • Serve immediately: Yum Yum Potatoes are best served immediately after they are cooked.
