Delicious!! With a name like Sweet Baby Ray's, it has to be good.

Provided by Jill Cooks

Categories     Other Main Dishes

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 lb. deli ham, chipped
1 cup sweet baby ray's original barbeque sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in medium sauce pan. Heat over low heat stirring until heated through.
  • 2. Serve on warm buns.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of meat: For Yankee barbecue, the best cuts of meat are those that are tough and flavorful, such as brisket, pork shoulder, or ribs. These cuts will benefit from the long, slow cooking process that is characteristic of Yankee barbecue.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is an important part of any barbecue, and Yankee barbecue is no exception. Be sure to use a marinade that is packed with flavor, such as one made with tomatoes, onions, garlic, and spices.
  • Cook the meat low and slow: Yankee barbecue is all about low and slow cooking. This allows the meat to become tender and fall off the bone.
  • Use a smoker or grill: You can cook Yankee barbecue in a smoker or on a grill. If you are using a smoker, be sure to maintain a consistent temperature of around 225 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are using a grill, cook the meat over indirect heat.
  • Baste the meat regularly: Basting the meat regularly will help to keep it moist and flavorful. You can baste the meat with the marinade, a barbecue sauce, or even just water.
  • Let the meat rest before serving: Once the meat is cooked, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Yankee barbecue is a delicious and versatile cuisine that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its focus on simple, flavorful ingredients and low and slow cooking, Yankee barbecue is a great way to relax and enjoy a meal with friends and family. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy meal, give Yankee barbecue a try.
