EASY RED AND WHITE PIZZA SAUCE WITH A KICK
There was a little pizza place in a town I used to live in that offered red sauce, white sauce or a combo. The combo was excellent. This is my version. The color ends up like the color of thousand island dressing but don't let that scare you, try it, it's yummy and different. Adjust amounts based on the size of pizza you will be making. Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the sauce will taste. If possible, use fresh garlic, herbs, and cheese.
- Don't overcook the garlic: Garlic can quickly burn and become bitter. Cook it over low heat until it is fragrant and soft, about 1 minute.
- Use a good quality olive oil: Olive oil is the base of the sauce, so it's important to use a good quality oil that has a fruity flavor.
- Season the sauce to taste: The amount of salt and pepper you add will depend on your personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
- Let the sauce cool slightly before using: This will help to prevent the sauce from curdling when you add it to the pizza.
Conclusion:
White pizza sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used on a variety of pizzas. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste. Whether you like your sauce garlicky, cheesy, or herby, there is a white pizza sauce recipe out there for you. So next time you're making pizza, give white sauce a try. You won't be disappointed!
