4 hot dog buns
1 cup Chili, recipe follows
1 cup store-bought coleslaw
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, grated
One 16-ounce can tomato sauce
One 12-ounce can tomato paste
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Grill, steam or boil the hot dogs. In the meantime, heat the Chili until hot throughout. Place each hot dog in a bun, and top each with a generous amount of Chili, coleslaw and yellow mustard, and then serve.
  • In a stockpot or Dutch oven, combine the beef (do not brown first), onions, tomato sauce, paste, chili powder, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic salt and 2 cups water. Mix until combined, then add the bay leaves. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat for about 2 hours.

3 lbs beef stew meat, cut into chunks
4 red onions, chopped
7 green bell peppers, chopped
2 (28 ounce) cans whole tomatoes, undrained
2 1/4 ounces chili powder
2 ounces Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
6 ounces pure honey

Steps:

  • Brown the ground meats with the salt and pepper in a large stockpot, stirring well to mix and break up the meat.
  • Add the stew meat, stirring occasionally for; cook for ten minutes.

1 1/2 pound ground chuck steak
Salt, if desired
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
3 pounds lean chuck, cut into one-inch cubes
4 cups finely chopped red onions
6 cups finely chopped green peppers
6 tablespoons chili powder
7 cups crushed canned tomatoes
1/4 cup (one 2-ounce bottle) Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon crushed, hot, dried red-pepper flakes
3/4 cup honey

Steps:

  • Put the ground pork and steak in a kettle and cook, stirring, until meat loses its raw look. Add salt and pepper and cubed beef. Cook, stirring, about 10 minutes.

1 medium sweet onion, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium banana pepper, chopped (or any mildly hot/sweet pepper of your choice)
28 oz tomatoes, canned and chopped (with liquid)
15 1/2 oz pinto beans, can (with liquid)
15 1/2 oz light kidney beans, cooked (with liquid)
15 1/2 oz chili beans (variety of your choice; with liquid)
2 can(s) dark red kidney beans; 15.5 oz each (with liquid)
5 Tbsp ketchup
3 Tbsp garlic powder (not garlic salt)
3 Tbsp red chili powder
1 Tbsp cumin
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper (up to 3 tsp or more if you desire)
1 tsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef (or turkey/venison) over medium/medium high heat in a stockpot and drain off excess fat.
  • 2. Add onion and peppers to the meat.
  • 3. Return to heat and cook (on medium to medium high) for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
