7 slices bacon, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup half-and-half
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
3 tablespoons chopped smoked almonds (about 1 oz.)

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat until almost crisp, about 7 minutes;drain excess fat from skillet.
  • Add garlic and cook until bacon is crisp, about 3 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Using electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth; add half and half and beat until combined.
  • Stir in bacon mixture, blue cheese and chives.
  • Transfer to 2-cup ovenproof baking dish; cover with foil.
  • (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Bring to room temperature before continuing.).
  • Bake until heated through, about 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with chopped almonds and serve.

2 clove garlic, minced
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 c half and half
4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
2 Tbsp chopped fresh chives

  • 1. Put garlic in hot bacon grease and cook for about 1 minute. Remove.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 350.
  • 3. Put cream cheese and half and half in a medium bowl and beat until blended. Stir in bacon, garlic, blue cheese, and chives.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat for about 8 minutes or until nearly crisp.
