1 lb ground beef
1 Tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
2 can(s) chicken broth
2 can(s) veg all (mixed vegetables)
2 can(s) tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced
1/4 c orzo pasta, uncooked
parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • 1. In a large soup pot brown ground beef in olive oil, breaking up into small pieces.
  • 2. Add onion soup mix and mix well.
  • 3. Add all canned ingredients, including the liquids, and bring to a boil.
  • 4. Add orzo and reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes (until orzo is cooked through).
  • 5. Serve with grated parmesan cheese.

1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1 tsp. salt, divided
1 lb. ground beef
½ cup pearl couscous or orzo pasta
1 (15 oz.) bag mixed frozen vegetables
1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes, lightly drained
4 cups chicken stock

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add onion, ground beef, and half the salt.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, breaking up any large pieces of beef, until well browned, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in pearl couscous, vegetables, tomatoes, remaining salt, and chicken stock. Bring to boiling, reduce to a simmer.

1 lb ground beef
2 (14 ounce) cans condensed chicken broth
2 (14 ounce) cans water (use empty broth cans)
4 cups water
1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope Lipton French Onion soup mix
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (12 -16 ounce) bag frozen vegetables
1/2 cup small shell pasta (like orzo, stars,alphabets, etc)

Steps:

  • In a large pot brown ground beef, stirring to break up.
  • Drain well.
  • Add broth, onion soup mix, water, tomatoes, bring to a boil, reduce heat simmer 5 minutes, add frozen vegetables, continue to simmer 10 minutes more.

1 -1 1/4 lb ground beef
1 (32 ounce) box chicken broth
4 cups water
1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope French onion soup mix
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 -3 stalks celery, chopped
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen mixed vegetables
2/3 cup small shell pasta (or other small pasta)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • In a large pot brown ground beef.
  • Drain fat.
  • Add broth, water, celery, soup mix and tomatoes.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
