VACUUM CLEANER BAR COOKIES

Vacuum Cleaner Bar Cookies image

This is a great recipe given to me by a man at work. His wife is a great cook. These little bar cookies are so yummy and easy to make. Cookies are very rich so I cut into small pieces. They are so good that they will be gone in a flash (i.e. sucked up...as in vacuum cleaner). Thank you Pam & Jay for sharing this recipe with me!

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 c margarine, melted (not butter)
1 box (18-25oz) plain yellow cake mix (not pudding added)
3 eggs
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 box (1-lb) powdered sugar
1/2 c angel flaked coconut
1/2 c walnuts or pecans, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. heat oven 325. Bake 45-50 minutes. 15x10" jellyroll pan, well greased
  • 2. Combine margarine, cake mix and 1 egg. Stir together until dry ingredients are moistened. Pat mixture into bottom of pan.
  • 3. Beat remaining 2 eggs lightly, then beat in cream cheese and powdered sugar. Stir in coconut and nuts. Pour over mixture in jellyroll pan, spreading evenly.
  • 4. Bake until golden brown. Cool pan on wire rack, until room tempture. Cut into squares.

Tips:

  • Use a clean vacuum cleaner. Make sure the vacuum cleaner is free of dust and debris before using it to make cookies. If the vacuum cleaner is dirty, it will contaminate the cookies.
  • Use the right attachments. Different vacuum cleaners have different attachments. Be sure to use an attachment that is designed for cleaning up small particles, such as a crevice tool or a dusting brush.
  • Be careful not to over-vacuum. If you vacuum the cookies for too long, they will become dry and crumbly. Vacuum the cookies just long enough to remove the excess crumbs.
  • Let the cookies cool before vacuuming. If you vacuum the cookies while they are still hot, they will be more likely to stick to the vacuum cleaner.
  • Be patient. It may take a few tries to get the perfect vacuum cleaner cookie. Don't be discouraged if your first batch doesn't turn out perfectly.

Conclusion:

Making vacuum cleaner cookies is a fun and easy way to enjoy a delicious treat. By following the tips above, you can make sure that your vacuum cleaner cookies turn out perfectly every time.
