Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Make sure your caramel is cooked to the right temperature. It should be thick and slightly golden in color.
  • Be careful not to overcook the pecans. They should be toasted, but not burned.
  • Let the turtles cool completely before dipping them in chocolate. This will help the chocolate to set properly.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the caramel by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If the caramel forms a hard ball, it is ready.
  • Store the turtles in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Turtles are a delicious and easy-to-make candy that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet treat that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give turtles a try.
