Tips:
- Choose the right turkey meat. Ground turkey breast is the leanest option, but it can be a bit dry. Ground turkey thigh is more flavorful and moist, but it's also higher in fat. A combination of the two is ideal.
- Use fresh cranberries. Fresh cranberries have a brighter flavor than frozen or canned cranberries. If you can't find fresh cranberries, you can use frozen or canned cranberries, but be sure to thaw them before using.
- Make sure the cranberry sauce is thick enough. The cranberry sauce should be thick enough to coat the meatballs, but it shouldn't be too thick or it will be difficult to stir.
- Don't overcook the meatballs. Turkey meatballs are very delicate, so it's important to not overcook them. Cook them until they are just cooked through, or they will become dry and tough.
- Serve the meatballs immediately. Turkey meatballs are best served immediately after they are cooked. They can be kept warm in a slow cooker on low for up to 2 hours.
Conclusion:
Turkey meatballs in cranberry sauce are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with ground turkey, fresh cranberries, and a few simple spices. The meatballs are cooked in a flavorful cranberry sauce, which makes them moist and flavorful. Turkey meatballs in cranberry sauce can be served as an appetizer, main course, or side dish. They are also a great way to use up leftover turkey after Thanksgiving or Christmas.
