TULUM-STYLE HAND HELD BURRITOS
A Mexican restaurant called Tulum near us fills its hungry college clientele with hearty, inexpensive and portable concoctions. My home-based version can be adapted to mood and handy ingredients. There's a wonderful variety of fully-cooked link sausages these days, from screamin' chorizo to spinach and feta to pedestrian old Cheddarwurst. Try bright fresh veggies or nuts for color and crunch, and play with cheese and dressing combinations.

Tips:
- Prep your ingredients: Before you start cooking, chop your vegetables, measure out your spices, and cook your rice. This will make the assembly process much smoother.
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better your burritos will taste. Look for fresh, ripe vegetables, flavorful spices, and high-quality cheese.
- Don't overstuff your burritos: It's tempting to pack your burritos full of fillings, but if you do, they'll be difficult to roll and eat. Aim for a filling-to-tortilla ratio of about 2:1.
- Warm your tortillas before assembling: This will make them more pliable and less likely to crack when you roll them up.
- Fold your burritos tightly: Once you've filled your tortillas, fold them up tightly so that the fillings are secure. This will help to prevent them from falling apart when you eat them.
- Grill or pan-fry your burritos: This will give them a delicious crispy exterior and help to melt the cheese.
- Serve with your favorite toppings: Salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo are all classic burrito toppings. You can also get creative and add your own favorites, such as grilled pineapple or mango.
Conclusion:
Tulum burritos are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With a variety of fillings to choose from, there's sure to be a burrito that everyone will love.
