MARSHMALLOW AND FRUIT SALAD

Marshmallow and Fruit Salad image

A unique, delicious fruit salad. It is always a hit and can be served year round, from Easter to Thanksgiving. It also goes great on angel food cake! The marshmallows soak up the juice and flavor and are so good! You can add seasonal fruit you have on hand! I usually chill in the fridge 30 min before serving to let the marshmallows soak up the juice!

One year I was asked to bring a fruit salad to a family Christmas dinner. I found several fruit salad recipes, but none seemed really special for the holidays. I devised this recipe and everyone loved it. After that, I became the "official fruit salad person" for all family get-togethers.

Tips:

  • Use fresh fruits: Fresh fruits will give your salad the best flavor and texture. If you can't find fresh fruits, you can use frozen or canned fruits, but they won't be as good.
  • Choose fruits that are in season: Seasonal fruits are usually less expensive and tastier than fruits that are out of season.
  • Prepare the fruits ahead of time: Most fruits can be prepared ahead of time, such as peeling and chopping them. This will save you time when you're ready to assemble the salad.
  • Use a variety of fruits: The more variety of fruits you use, the more flavorful your salad will be. Try to use a mix of fruits with different colors, textures, and flavors.
  • Don't forget the marshmallows: Marshmallows are the classic ingredient in fruit salad, and they add a sweet and fluffy texture. You can use any type of marshmallows you like, but mini marshmallows are a good option.
  • Chill the salad before serving: Chilling the salad will help to meld the flavors and make it more refreshing.

Conclusion:

Three fruit and marshmallow salad is a classic summer dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its combination of fresh fruits, sweet marshmallows, and creamy dressing, this salad is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
