got this recipe from fabulous foods .com, a lady found it at a fair and they would not give her the recipe until years later and now she is sharing it with all enjoy , this for sure will be the best oatmeal cookie you have ever had it beats the monster cookie by a mile

1 c butter, melted and cooled
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 c oats, uncooked
1 c crushed corn flakes plain
2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
OPTIONS ADD MIX AND MATCH I USE ALL OF THEM
3/4 c sweetned shredded coconut
1 c raisins
1 c choclate chips
3/4 c toffee chips
3/4 c chopped walnuts or your favorite nuts

Steps:

  • 1. preheat oven to 375
  • 2. In large mixing bowl combine oats,corn flakes,sugars,raisinsand coconut. add eggs, vanilla and melted butter. Mix till well blended. mix in all the others options you wish at this point
  • 3. In separate bowl mix flour,salt,baking powder and baking soda . Add flour mixture to wet dough mixture until it is all incorporated into the mix
  • 4. drop rounded tablspoons of dough onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until nicely browned. cool on a wire rack enjoy!
  • 5. you can also roll this dough and freeze it very well and slice off a couple of cookies at a time and bake in the oven or toaster oven , what could be better

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light-brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1 (6 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350. Place parchment paper on 4 baking sheets and set aside.
  • 2. In small bowl, blend flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt with a whisk; set aside.
  • 3. In large bowl, beat shortening and both sugards on medium-high speed about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
  • 4. On low speed, gradually add flour mixture and beat until just combined. Stir in oats, Rice Krispies, coconut and chocolate chips.
  • 5. Form balls with 2 tablespoons of dough and place 2 inches apart on prepared sheets. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.

3/4 cup soft butter
1 cup light brown sugar

1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (I like NESTLE)
1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips (I like Ghiradhelli)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line cookie sheets with parchment.
  • Beat butter and both sugars until well blended.
  • Add in vanilla, egg and yolk until light and creamy.
