Tips:

  • Select ripe tangerines: Choose tangerines that are firm and have a deep orange color. Avoid tangerines with green patches or blemishes.
  • Zest the tangerines before juicing: The zest of the tangerines contains flavorful oils that will enhance the taste of your tea. Use a fine grater or a vegetable peeler to remove the zest from the tangerines.
  • Use fresh ginger: Fresh ginger adds a warm and spicy flavor to the tea. Peel and thinly slice the ginger before adding it to the saucepan.
  • Sweeten the tea to taste: The amount of sugar or honey you add to the tea will depend on your personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Serve the tea hot or cold: Tangerine tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. If you are serving the tea cold, let it cool completely before refrigerating it.
