Tips:

  • For a smoother dip, blend the sour cream and mayonnaise together before adding the other ingredients.
  • If you like a spicy dip, add a teaspoon or two of chili powder or cayenne pepper to the mix.
  • For a more flavorful dip, use a variety of taco seasoning blends. Taco Bell Taco Seasoning is a great option. You can also try Old El Paso Taco Seasoning or McCormick Taco Seasoning.
  • If you don't have any taco seasoning, you can make your own. Simply combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Use 1 tablespoon of this mixture for every pound of ground beef.
  • For a healthier dip, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Greek yogurt is a good source of protein and calcium, and it has less fat than sour cream.
  • Serve the dip with a variety of toppings, such as shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, guacamole, salsa, and cilantro.
